The service was well run and staff, including the registered manager, were approachable. People and relatives were encouraged to provide feedback on the service in various ways both formally and informally. Concerns were thoroughly investigated plans actioned to bring about improvement in the service. People’s personal and health care needs were met and care records provided staff with clear, detailed guidance in how to do this. People were able to take part in social events and spend time with their peers. A complaints system was in place and there was information so people knew who to speak with if they had concerns.

In addition ,we have a dedicated 12-bed mental health unit run by experienced Registered Mental Health Nurses. We can also provide respite, intermediate and palliative care. Berni leads the Churchill team to deliver exceptional support for older people with mental health needs. Her kind and compassionate approach has helped her to build strong relationships with all the Churchill residents and she is a firm favourite of many. Also known as Care & Repair agencies, are local non-profit organisations set up to help older people think about, plan, finance and organise work on their homes. These services tackle smaller repair jobs, including installing safety & security devices.
Hilton Park is rated good, based on the level of care and safety at the home. All staff are carefully chosen and well-qualified to achieve the best standards, with the company philosophy focusing on an attentive service that also supports an active lifestyle. Systems were in place to ensure people’s safety was effectively managed. Staff were aware of the procedures for reporting concerns and of how to protect people from harm. The team strive to make the home a warm and welcoming environment with high quality care a main priority. The dedicated and experienced team are passionate about providing quality care to each individual living at the home. – there are some services which we can’t rate, while some might be under appeal from the provider. Having started her Barchester journey as a carer back in 2019, Jenelyn has gained good experience of working closely to our residents. The subsequent creation of a visiting suite has ensured that visiting can continue in the winter months, which is much appreciated. People told us that staff treat them with respect and maintain their privacy and dignity. People or their family members had been increasingly involved in deciding on the care people needed. Care records gave staff clear guidance on people’s needs and how people preferred those needs to be met. Risks were assessed and risk management plans put in place so that people were kept as safe as possible.
With previous years of knowledge and experience, Derek has built a good relationship with our residents and fellow colleagues. We are thrilled to welcome him to his new role as Head of Maintenance. Having previously worked in different sectors, Nadine has a wealth of knowledge to bring to our home. Having built strong relationships with our residents, Nadine is able to bring lots of fun to our activities. Lily is the first friendly face you'll see as a visitor to our home. A committed team work hard to ensure that all provision is tailored to the individual, while allowing them to make the most of a relaxed and homely atmosphere. We found there were sufficient staff to meet people's needs, but the manager must ensure staff in the units had appropriate knowledge and skills. Hilton Park offers Mental Health, Older People (65+), Palliative Care, Physical Disabilities and Younger Adults care.

Staff respected people choices and staff were aware of the key legal requirements of the MCA and DoLS. People were listened to and were involved in their care and what they did on a day to day basis.
